Iβve been a practicing Legal Nurse Consultant for over 8 years β working with defense firms, managing my own cases, subcontracting, performing expert witness work, and volunteering in the Legal Nurse community.
Β Β My Story
- I live in Central Florida with my husband, Paul, of 43 years. Our son and daughter, along with their families β and six grandchildren! β all live in Ohio, which means we cherish every visit trip north.
- My nursing career has been rooted in long-term care, a specialty I loved deeply and felt truly honored to be a part of. Caring for that generation of individuals shaped who I am as both a nurse and a person.
- In 2018, I took the leap and launched my Legal Nurse Consulting business. Since then, I've worn many hats β subcontractor, independent contractor, expert witness, and remote consultant for a defense firm. I'm also still active PRN at the nursing home, because keeping my clinical roots strong matters to me.
- Building my own LNC business taught me a lot β what works, what doesn't, and how overwhelming it can feel to start without a clear roadmap. That's exactly why I created Palivoda Legal Nurse Mentoring. There is nothing I love more than watching nurses step into this field with confidence and clarity, and actually get there.
- When I'm not working, you'll find me reading, swimming, walking outdoors, traveling, or spending time volunteering in my community.
